Graduate FAQs

  1. What support for professional development will be provided?
There are regular PD opportunities throughout the year related to your work in the relevant service streams. Any questions arising from these can be discussed with your Clinical Supervisor/Lead. There is also free and unlimited access to other education materials such as modules, webinars and resources through our Vivir Learning platform. The Clinical Support team will support you in tailoring your clinical education requirements and planning according to your professional and individual goals.

  2. Will there be someone working alongside me onsite for support?
There is an initial induction process onsite to support you with becoming familiar with the site, relevant staff and the routine. The induction also covers a typical day, and the processes and documentation required.

Wherever possible you are placed at a site where there is another clinician. At times this may not be possible due to the location or the program there. In that case, you would have phone support at all times from your Supervisor and Clinical Support Lead.

  3. What career pathway progressions are there?
There are progression opportunities within Vivir Healthcare that are possible as you progress through your career journey with us. These include progressing to positions like Senior Clinicians or Clinical Leads and the potential to support in other areas of the Vivir support office teams such as Scheduling and Recruitment if your interests align in other aspects of the business. Further opportunities to experience different service streams like Telehealth, Home Care/Community and Disability Services can also be facilitated depending on your progression and professional goals.

  4. I am an OT/Osteopath – how does that fit into Vivir Healthcare?
All Allied Health Professionals are able to utilise their discipline and work within Vivir Healthcare’s services. Some clients have preferences related to government protocols however, that is sometimes variable, particularly in regional sites. We encourage teamwork across all disciplines and recognize what each discipline brings to healthcare.

  5.  Does Vivir Healthcare accept post-graduates?
Yes! As long as you have graduated and have your appropriate registration.

  6. What kind of ongoing support will be received at the completion of the New Grad program?
New graduates will have a direct line of support to their Clinical Supervisors and Clinical Support team. Our team will tailor ongoing reviews and check-ins based on your professional development, experience and goals with support where required.
