- Salary Packaging
As a new graduate, you will receive support to work in both residential care & in the community, as your independent clinical skills develop, you will be supported to engage with clients within the NDIS and via Telehealth to broaden your professional experiences.
Residential Care
Our clinicians who work in the residential care space provide reactive dysphagia assessment and management, in addition to regular reviews. They provide education to facilities on IDDSI management, safe swallowing, and supportive communication strategies. With the additional availability of funding via the AN-ACC model, our clinicians can expand their practice in this space to include communication assessment and intervention, working alongside facility staff to improve the quality of life of their residents.
Community and NDIS
Our community services are those provided to Australians within their home through mostly one-on-one home or community visits. These range from one-off assessments to proactive management of Dysphagia, Language, Speech, Voice and AAC across diverse clinical populations involving neurological, respiratory, cardiac, gastrointestinal, and mental health diagnoses.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Predominately Dysphagia caseload and management
- Assessment and management of speech, language, voice, and swallowing difficulties in adults with diverse medical backgrounds within both the community and in residential aged care facilities
- Advocating for Speech Pathology intervention to optimise function and maximise quality of life.
- Collaborating with clients, their families, and other staff members to ensure a patient-cantered model of care.
- Provision of education and support to clients, their families, and staff members on the management of dysphagia and communication difficulties
- Blended roles of face-to-face and tele-health delivery
- Eligibility for Speech Pathology Australia (SPA) membership
- Drivers’ license and reliable vehicle
- Professional indemnity insurance, or willingness to obtain.
- Valid NDIS Worker Screening Clearance, or willingness to obtain.
- 2023 Flu Vaccine Certificate, or willingness to obtain.
- COVID vaccine certificate, or willingness to obtain.
