VIVIR OH&S has OH&S Support Plans to suit your needs.  We offer a choice of different OH&S Support Plans so that you may select the type of OH&S Services to be delivered on those visits.  Our OH&S Services include:

• Manual Handling
• Competency Assessments
• Falls Prevention
• Risk Assessment

Details of our Manual Handling Support Plans 

Plan A 2 hours training + competency time: Theoretical presentation including stretching program and safe lifting techniques (2hrs). Followed by individual competency assessments done on a separate day to initial presentation, 15min intervals per person. (i.e. 15 people at presentation would take about 4 hours to assess for competency assessments)

Plan B 3 hours: As above with a third hour for group practical session and manual handling competency assessments as opposed to individual assessments.

Plan C 2 hours: Theoretical presentation including stretching program and safe lifting techniques.

Plan D MH Champions program train the trainer program VIVIR Healthcare can educate selected staff and train them as champions of manual handling. Once a champion has been trained they will be able to teach and assess fellow staff members about manual handling in their own facility. TWO YEAR COURSE OUTLINE Year one Month One – 6h learning and practical education Month Two – 3h champion assessment and practical demonstration assessment Following a pass from the second month, champions will now be able to educate and assess fellow staff Month Four – 2h Practical demonstration re cap and case examples / Challenging residents Month Ten – 2h Practical demonstration re cap and case examples / Challenging residents TOTAL = 13h / staff / year NUMBER PARTICIPANTS = 8 maximum Year two - Follow Up Month Four – 2h Practical demonstration re cap and case examples / Challenging residents Month Ten – 2h Practical demonstration re cap and case examples / Challenging residents TOTAL = 4h / staff / year PRE REQUISITE = Completion month one and two from a previous year (no more than 3 years ago) NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS = unlimited provided staff have completed year one

Plan E Organisational model. i.e. - individually designed MH program built around the clients requests - based upon needs analysis.
